We are excited to introduce the second installment of Holdara’s foundational access, delivering a bit of fun, a sneak peek at the Arena of the Ancients, and a community test of basic character movement and camera controls.
How to earn Collective Anvil Points (CAPs)
Earn CAPs by participating and providing valuable feedback on the character control and in-game camera — let us know what your thoughts: What is good? What is working? What is frustrating? What you think could be improved and importantly how?
Link Your Discord Account: Earn 10 CAPs for linking your account.
Provide Your Feedback: Get up to 25 CAPs for posting constructive feedback in the
🌀︱feedback channel on the Holdara Discord server.
The Challenge
You have 60 seconds to collect as many globes as you can.
You can retry as many times as you like—so aim for your best score and post your best score to Discord!
A score of 10 or more is considered a success!
A score of 20 is the max possible and is very hard to achieve!
Controls
Basic Movement
Simply point your mouse to the desired location, then left-click (LMB) and release—your Holdaran will start moving along the shortest path to that spot. If you click a new destination before it arrives, it will immediately adjust course and move toward the new location. The distance between your click and your Holdaran’s current position determines whether they walk or run (though internal tests suggest this may need further balancing)
There are no independent camera controls currently - this is something that we may well explore going forward.
Basic Camera
Right Mouse Button (RMB) + Hold + Drag – Rotate the camera around your Holdaran as the focal point. The camera may automatically zoom based on terrain, such as maze walls.
Middle Mouse Button (MMB) / Scroll Wheel – Scroll forward/up to zoom in and back/down to zoom out. Perfect for planning ahead!
