In-Game $HOLSH Reward Systems
Important Note: All variables and values are placeholders and should not be considered final. They are provided for illustrative purposes only, reflecting our general intent to implement a tiered reward and voting system aligned with NFT ownership.
Key Mechanics
Holdara allows players to control a party of [1 to 4] Holdarans, which can include owned and rented characters / citizens. Players can play solo or team up with others.
Examples:
Four players may team up each controlling 1 Holdaran (which they may own or have rented from other players)
Two players may team up with each controlling 2 Holdarans (which they may own or have rented from other players)
One player could play solo controlling 1 to 4 Holdaran’s which she may own and/or have rented from other players.
To ensure fairness and strategic depth, a simplified reward distribution system is implemented:
Nanovoid / Nexus GLOW Value:
Each enemy encounter (e.g., a Nanovoid Swarm with a Nexus at its core) has a fixed GLOW value determined by the threat level of the Nexus.Equal Distribution Among Party Members:
Upon defeating an enemy Nexus, GLOW is equally shared among all party members under player(s) control. All $HOLSH rewards go directly to the controlling player(s) wallet(s).Immediate Allocation by the Player(s):
Players allocate GLOW contributions from each party member under their control toward the current objective (e.g., igniting a Spire within the Region they are currently located). This allocation is manual (player choice) and must be decided immediately on completion of the battle.NFT Boost Application:
The game engine applies each party member’s Holdaran NFT boost (see below) to their contributed GLOW, calculating individual $HOLSH rewards. Rewards are distributed via the Spire’s smart contract upon the Dark Spires ignition. Any adjustments to the Spires Smart Contract will eventually be controlled by the DAO.
Example Scenario: Party Contribution & Rewards
This is just one of many possible party formations, for illustrative purposes we have assumed that the party contain 4 Holdaran Ancients (one of each rarity level).
If the party contained all Holdara Reborn then there would be NO boost. Hence other players that do not own a Holdaran Ancient will be keen to hire them from their owners!
Party Composition: A single player controls a party of 4 Holdarans (All of which are Ancients) consisting of:
1 High Keeper: +100% Boost (The High Keeper is a hired NFT via rental contract – the rental terms are set and agreed between the contracting players)
1 Warlord: +40% Boost (NFT owned by the player)
1 Master: +25% Boost (a hired NFT via rental contract – terns set by players)
1 Warden: +20% Boost (NFT owned by the player)
The party engages with the Nanovoid and defeats a Nexus:
Nexus GLOW Value: [4000] GLOW (reflects difficulty / challenge rating, that among other things is a function of the overall “Skill Level” of the Party)
Number of Party Members: [4]
Equal Distribution: Each member receives 4000/4 = 1000 GLOW.
Immediately after the battle ends the player makes choices for each Holdaran Character under their control regarding the total GLOW allocated, in this example the player controls all 4 Holdarans and decides:
High Keeper contributes 500 GLOW (retains 500 GLOW)
Warlord contributes 300 GLOW (retains 700 GLOW)
Master contributes 150 GLOW (retains 850 GLOW)
Warden contributes 50 GLOW (retains 950 GLOW)
The remaining GLOW [3000] goes to the controlling player’s GLOW wallet balance.
Reward Calculation:
Spire Requirement: [2,000,000] GLOW
Total $HOLSH Reward for Ignition [10,000] $HOLSH
$HOLSH Base Reward (BR) per Party Member
Member | GLOW Contributed | Base Reward ($HOLSH) |
High Keeper | 500 | (500 / 2,000,000) × 10,000 = 2.5 |
Warlord | 300 | (300 / 2,000,000) × 10,000 = 1.5 |
Master | 150 | (150 / 2,000,000) × 10,000 = 0.75 |
Warden | 50 | (50 / 2,000,000) × 10,000 = 0.25 |
$HOLSH Boosted Rewards (Totals)
Member | $HOLSH Base Reward | Boost | $HOLSH Final Reward |
High Keeper | 2.5 | +100% | 5.0000 |
Warlord | 1.5 | +40% | 2.1000 |
Master | 0.75 | +25% | 0.9375 |
Warden | 0.25 | +20% | 0.3000 |
Total Reward for Player: 8.3375 $HOLSH credited to the controlling player’s wallet upon “Spire Ignition” by the Spires Smart Contract (SSC)
Additional Key Mechanics
Battle Locking Mechanism:
Rule: Once a party enters a Nanovoid Swarm, no other players can join and no alterations to the party members can be made.
Purpose: Prevents exploitation (e.g., farming or swapping players mid-encounter) and maintains reward integrity.
Escape Penalty:
Rule: Players escaping a Nanovoid Swarm before defeat:
Forfeit all rewards.
Increase the Challenge Rating (CR) and Base Rewards (BR) for remaining players, making the encounter harder, but more rewarding.
If they all leave or die – all players get nothing
Purpose: Adds strategic risk to quitting a fight.
What this system achieves
Fairness: Rewards tied to contributions and NFT boosts ensure equitable distribution.
Engagement: Incentivizes holding various NFTs (Holdarans, Land Deeds, Legendary Items).
Utility and Value: Legendary Items enhance combat efficiency, adding value beyond aesthetics.
Solves Potential Exploits:
Intentional Escapes: Addressed by if you leave you leave with nothing!
Funneling GLOW: Addressed by equal distribution and manual allocation.
